I was in India for a business trip with 2 colleagues, we only had 1.5 days in Delhi over the weekend. Vishnu created an excellent itinerary: Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in the morning, returning to explore the markets of Old Delhi in the afternoon, and visiting other highlights of Delhi the next day. The highlight of our short time in Delhi was not the beautiful and interesting things we saw, but rather the experience of being with someone sharing their adopted hometown as they would with friends. The things we’ll remember the most are the least monumental: the roadside tea stop on the way to Agra, the stroll through a typical colony in Delhi, the Sikh temple kitchen program, and of course Sunny’s amazing driving skills, safely navigating through a maze of traffic and always showing up to collect us perfectly on cue (we’re still not sure how he did that)!

We have worked with Tours By Locals guides (and other companies) and always been pleased with the experience. Yesterday’s full day tour of Delhi put Vishnu at the top of our list! His passion for India and devotion to his Hindu religion while respecting (from studying) other religions was readily apparent. At our request he showed us Old and New Delhi of today while still seeing some “top 10” sights. We corrected many misconceptions about India. His knowledge and willingness to discuss many topics including personal topics was greatly appreciated. Thanks to our driver Mr Singh for a safe day in spite of hundreds (literally) of potential fender benders at every turn!! We highly recommend Vishnu and will seek him out again if we can return to India in the future.

We thought Vishnu was excellent. We'd been to Delhi last year and so had seen many of the main sites. But Vishnu did a great job of tailoring the day to our requirements. He clearly has a first class knowledge of Delhi's tourist attractions and made visiting these particularly interesting by captivating stories about their historical inhabitants - their lives and religious beliefs. He was never stumped by additional questions we asked him about these and the building themselves. Very highly recommended
